![]() ![]() ![]() IDK man, like I still love BTS, and also, I'm not saying that their fame will completely fade in a year or anything like that. Then there's also the thing about a lot of new groups debuting and I see a lot of hype on these rookies to the point people are actually forgetting about their older favs lol, including Armys, like it's crazy how many of them I've seen moving on to Ateez and TXT and saying they're not that crazy about BTS anymore. Plus after all these controversies I've seen sooooo many Army saying they don't stan the boys anymore and that they are leaving the fandom, and they don't seem like trolls at all, they seem like legit people. this might be very subjective but Army has always been know for being an extremely obsessive fandom when it comes to numbers and views, so I couldn't help but notice the HUGE difference in views that On their recent comeback had compared to Boy with Luv their comeback from last year, and yes I know that Boy with Luv has been out for a year already but On has also been out for 3 months almost 4, and If I remember correctly ( please correct me if I'm wrong ) 3 or 4 months after the release of BWL that video already had about 500M or 600M views or something like that, On currently only has 189M views, I mean that is a HUGE difference! But all these controversies in the past few days have kinda opened my eyes and made realize their "peak" actually ended last year? If you think about it, I think their hype has actually already started to die even before all these controversies started! ![]() I think we all know that no group/artist in general can be #1 for ever, there will come a time when their popularity will slow down at some point, we have many examples of this, legends like ( EXO, BIG BANG, SUPERJUNIOR, GIRLS GENERATION etc.) are still very loved and still have a lot of fans but it's obvious they are not as famous as they used to be back in the day when they were at their prime.īut even tho I knew all of this I always though BTS was gonna be the exception, not that they were never gonna fade, but hat their peak popularity was gonna last way longer than the regular kpop group, since you know they are 'still' the biggest band in the world and all that, I though their peak was gonna last for at least 4 or 5 more years. In October 2018, BTS were featured on the cover of Time magazine, with Time naming them "Next Generation Leaders".The title is a little harsh but I wanted to grab people's attention xD anyway In September 2018, BTS gave a speech at the United Nations as ambassadors for UNICEF. ![]() In 2018, BTS became #1 on the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list, which ranks South Korea's most powerful and influential celebrities, as well as became the youngest ever recipients to be awarded the Order of Cultural Merit from the South Korean government. The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever went on to win the Album of the Year award at the 2016 Melon Music Awards. The band continued to gain prominence with their subsequent albums Dark & Wild (2014), The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2 (2015) and The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever (2016), with the latter two entering the U.S. They won several New Artist of the Year awards for the track "No More Dream", including at the 2013 Melon Music Awards and Golden Disc Awards and the 2014 Seoul Music Awards. On June 12, 2013, they performed the song "No More Dream" from their initial album 2 Cool 4 Skool to commemorate their debut on June 13, 2013. The name subsequently became a backronym for Beyond The Scene. BTS also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment. ![]()
